Hues x Fana Hues 

Hues is a beautiful debut from Fana Hues, managing to effortlessly weave through a range of relatable emotions smoothly. While her sound does not necessarily stick out from fellow new/alt. R&B artists, her lyrics are certainly stronger than most. It is this lyricism that adds an extra layer to Hues and makes you pay attention. Hues is personal and authentic, making it easy to connect with. The album truly feels like a high, deeply introspective and raw. However, the vulnerability in Hues leaves you in-tune and strengthened by your emotions, not swallowed by them. Do not be too quick to box her into strictly R&B or soul, Hues is an intriguing (and in some ways mysterious) work prompting anticipation for what's next from Fana Hues.
